Tried to restore my back up on my iPhone 6 64gb and it keeps telling me my iPhone has been disconnected any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Restoring back up
What did you exactly do and what tells you that your iPhone is disconnected?
A few days ago I had the problem that the iPhone didn't find my iCloud Backup. Had to restore it without any backup
I tried to restore my back up that I did on iOS 10 and I saved it to my computer so it's a wired back up. Now my MacBook Pro latest on software and iTunes as well it tells me my iPhone has been disconnected and then my iPhone tells me to restart it because there was an error
There can be basically 3 reasons for the issue in my opinion:
1. hardware issue of the iPhone. -> Apple Store or AppleCare
2. software issue on the iPhone -> Set device in DFU and restore (I'd do that on another computer, just to be sure that the mac is not the problem)
3. Backup is corrupt -> bugreport.apple.com, try to repair backup with 3rd party software (just ja chance to get the data), use iCloud to recover your data.
Would be interesting what the iPhone tells you exactly. I never had a error message saying that I got to restart my iPhone. Or do you mean the "Connect to iTunes"-screen? This always shows up if there's a critical software/hardware issue on the phone. Does the restore work without any error message? When it shows an error message it would be helpful if you could tell me the number in the brackets at the end of the error message.
im going to try that right now and there is not any error codes for the iPhone telling me to restart it to continue. my guess it is an ios 10 issue. Just have to wait for Beta 2 if DFU mode does not work out. 😕
