Can I set someone else bank account to receive money?

When I'm enrolling in the Developers Program, should the credit/debit card, which is used to pay, be in my name? Someone else may pay it, but if I distribute or take payment for apps, will that matter?

Hi there. Sorry you got forgotten so long. To answer your question, the fee should be paid using your own credit card. If not, you'll be asked for identification documents to prove that you actually exist. It's theoretically possible for someone to create multiple fictitious identities and enroll them using a personal credit card, so I guess that's why they take the precaution of verifying applicants' identities if there's a mismatch.

But if you're willing to jump through all the identification hoops, you're welcome to pay the fee any way you want.

I don't know where you got the idea that you don't need a credit card to pay for a developer account but that's not correct.

The only way to pay for a developer account is with a credit card in your own legal name registered at your legal address.

I know of no exceptions to this; nor should there be.

What I wrote earlier is correct. If you want to, you can look it up for yourself here:

Things have changed.

Good to know.

What type of Government id we should provide? I'm from India, will they accept my country driver license?

Since your question is a slightly different one than the topic of this thread, would you start a new one for your question?

Can I set someone else bank account to receive money?
