Using Pencil with iOS 10 beta 1

I am unable to use my Apple Pencil with iOS 10 beta 1 on my iPad Pro (12.9"). The pencil does pair, and the Battery widget does report on it, but no input is received by Notes, Safari or other apps. Anyone seeing this issue? Or even better, have a resolution?

Probably not the answer you wanted, but this is working fine for me. Have you done any troubleshooting? Reset of settings, etc.

I'm having issues with my Apple Pencil on my 12.9" iPad Pro as well. I subitted a bug report on the issue. What happens for me is very annoying, the pencil will connect and work for a bit, then randomly disconnect and it may reconnect a few minutes later or it may not. I hope this gets fixed in beta 2.

+1

I've had a probelm with my iPad Pro (9.7" inch) and all I did to get around it is fully turned off my iPad for 2 minutes turned it back on and it was good too go for use after re pairing it again.

Yeah, this does fix it but only temporarily. It keeps occuring for me. And obviously having to reboot the device is not a very good solution, and it's not even a satisfactory workaround.

Has anyone else submitted a bug report?

I have nearly the same issue, the iPad just doesn't recognize the pencil sometimes (but it is connected though). it helped to just plug in the pencil into the iPad a few seconds, then it always reacted like expected.

Same issue with iOS 10 Beta 4. The pencil worked fine under Beta 1 through 3. I tried rebooting, re-pairing, restoring iOS 10 beta 4 from iTunes, a new tip on the pencil. The pencil pairs, the battery level is displayed in notifications, but no recognition on the iPad pro 12.9. The Notes.app is also very slow, and crashes within 1-2 minutes, even after reloading Beta 4 via iTunes restore. I'm going to stop by an apple store to see if my pencil works with another ipad pro.

Turns out it was my pencil. Tested it at an Apple store, and the pencil was not recognized by a new ipad. Replacement on it's way.
