Agonizingly slow finder in Sierra Dev 2

ir

Hi, all-- anyone experiencing a massive finder slowdown in Sierra Dev 2? It was great in Dev 1, and fine for about a day under Dev 2, but now I get nothing but SBBODs everytime I try to interact with the finder at all. Saving and opening files through the save and open dialogue windows are slow too. It's like anything to do with the file system is in molasses.

I've deleted CloudKitMeta*, restarted cloudd, deleted finder preferences and even nuked all the cache folders I can find. I started another user account and the finder is zippy on that one, so this is somehow related to my main user account. Any ideas? I'd submit a bug to apple, but not sure what to report other than what I've said here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

I am seeing the same problem and I traced it down to the mds process running for going on three days now at 70-100% of CPU.

That doesn't seem to be my problem. It's linked to the com.apple.appkit.xpc.openAndSavePanelService, which is always freezing. Every time I try to open and save something, it beachballs and then I have to force quit openandsavepanelservice through Activity Monitor.

I can't seem to figure out what to look in the console though to submit a bug report, or to here.

At this point, I can't open or save any files. At all. Very frustrated.

I had the same problem.

After disabeling iCloud drive

finder behavior immediately was back to normal.
