Bird process keeps running at 100% CPU

After installing MacOS Sierra a process called Bird keeps running at 100% for days now - and fans are spinning like **** on my MacBook.

Anybody know of a solution to this?

Thanks

Same here. What I found out so far is that bird seems to be related to iCloud Drive.

I've turned "Documents and Desktop" back on, waited for it to sync completely, then turned it back off, and moved all documents back to the local folder. Didn't help though.

If you run brctl log --wait --shorten in the Terminal, you'll see what bird is currently doing.

Since macOS Sierra introduced a new privacy feature for logs, the log is quite useless, though, as all meaningful data is replaced with <private>.

While 100% CPU and fans are a nuissance, the bigger issue is that bird keeps writing around 5 TB to disk per day. The write rate dropped significantly after about a week for me, as the SSD probably is probably wearing out (not sure if that is noticeable so quickly, though – could also be another reason).

Sierra Beta 2 didn't help either.
