Meditation in Health

Hello, I am a meditator and am frustrated with the categorization that Apple provides in Health. It seems to me that there ought to be a category for meditation by itself, maybe with Tai Chi or other meditative activity. Putting it under Workouts misses the point. Thanks Eric

Interesting, but since forum posts aren't bug reports, feel free to use the 'report bugs' link, below right to make a feature request.

Good luck.

Hi. Typically, a workout session, when saved, will contribute to the activity rings, which meditators normally don't want, so instead of saving a workout session, you might want to just save "mindful minutes" as described in another forum post: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/53844.

Note that you would still need to start and stop a workout session to allow playback of audio cues, but you would not save the workout session. I hope this is helpful, even though a significant amount of time has passed since you posed your question.

Benefits of Meditation are many. In fact, it usually takes only 5 or 10 minutes per day to start seeing improvements in your life. The benefits of meditation go far beyond simply feeling better physically. When you begin to meditate regularly, you will find yourself becoming more aware of what is going on around you. Scientifically it is seen that meditation is a very powerful tool for improving brain function and memory. You can visit here for more information:- artofliving.org/in-en/free-online-meditation
