Why does it say "not enough storage " when I have 3.5gb avable

Does this happen to anyone else? I've tried everything to try and download the iOS 10 beta but nothing works. A guy from customer support told me to post about it

Forgot to mention this is the public beta

The reason iOS 10b requires so much free space isn't because the update itself takes up a lot of room on your iPhone - it's because when you install an update like this, your iPhone needs to shuffle files around in the background, and it needs space to do that.

All of the contents of the update are stored in a compressed file when the beta is downloaded to your device. Once the download is finished, your device starts unpacking all of the contents of that compressed file. Your device needs room for both the compressed and uncompressed files while your iPad or iPhone reboots.

Although iOS 9 came smaller than iOS 8 in this example, iOS 10 beta hasn't had it's sails trimmed yet. Keep in mind the OS needs room to work and tries to protect that, thus the warning about free space.

Delete some files/apps, double your free space and try again.
