Mac osx sierra beta 4 stuck at calculating at the beginning of downlod
same here, however 0 bytes of 1.14 GB - Calculating...
Same here
Same here.
Yep same thing! Notably other app updates go fine.
same here, it's so annoying. I've cleared the caches and nothing. Had it on all night and it's still calculating. I'm on 2012 MacBook Pro
Which caches did you clear? By the way yes extremely annoying espcially when we had bugs on the last go around.
I also did clear caches but to no solution. Saw on the internet that there was a similar problem with beta 2, but the post shows that the download bar was about 3/4's os the download process. Clearing caches in that specific situation solved the problem.
I just went through a cach clear as before. That did nothing by itself. Then I went into Activity Monitor and killed everythign app store related and then resraated App Store. That started a down load but then hung at the 17.7 MB mark yet again. Same bug as from the previous install.
I found the old thread from the last update pertaining ot the 17.7 MB problem (first file that App Store downloads) and the links there are dead. That makes sense because obvously that is old information. So at this point I'm going to wait a bit until an update comes along on the forums.
Just use the DP4 links from this thread: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/53267
Thanks! Solved the problem just fine. App Store is handling the Itunes update OK apparently.
Questions:
1. Should this be reported as a bug? Seeems like somehting that should have been fixed already.
2. Is there a way for us to fine these download files ourselves?
Problem solved thanks to tywebbooooo . Just go to the link he provided. It's a bypass to the download part or the process. Download all the four files. In my case two of the files were at the provided path and I replaced then. Next load the App Store app in your Mac, go to the Update session and you'll see a box saying that the update is ready. Restart your Mac and the update process will continue. Good luck. Thanks again tywebbooooo.
Actually there is another step you should do after moving the packages into the correct location before attempting to update. You should restart the computer first - and then update.
