Testflight Crash Reports only for live apps?

We are using pre-release build tsting via Testflight. Though the app crashes, I am not getting any Crash Reports in Xcode. Is this normal? Strangely, I did get a handful of crash reports with the first release, but none since.

Furthermore, Apple support says that Testflight does not send reports for prerelease builds - only for live apps in the store. But this makes no sense to me, so I wanted to see if this is the case for everyone or just for me (not getting reports for apps you're beta testing). What's the point of Testlfight if you don't get any crash reports? You can use Ad Hoc builds to get the app into testers' hands...

Im seeing no crashes from any external Testflight user as well. Radar number 25284034.

I am also not able to see any of the crashes into the Organiser crash report and even it shows 0 crashes within the build in iTunes connect. but I am sure my app crashed couple of times. Did any one got there issues resolved ?

I also filed the issue in bug reproter since 30th June 16 but no response😟 , this is ridiculous they are taking for ever to atleaset look into the bug reports , not sure why have they even started bug reporter 😠. Bug report number 27115246.

I'm having the same issue. Can't see any crash reports for apps that are released for internal testing in TestFlight. I can see crash reports for released apps though.

Same problem for me... Users don't know why they make beta testing when developer don't get any (or a few) crash reports.

I miss original testflight a lot...

For us, crash reporting in TestFlight worked until we moved to Swift3 in January 2017. I can not tell if it has something to do with Swift3 or Apple changed anything in TestFlight.

This is a beta app only - it is not officially released in the App Store yet. The only way to get crash reports is to manually detect crashes on startup and prompt to send an email. We use PLCrashReporter for that.

By the way: The crash reports in TestFlight was really helpful. In the beginning, it was struggeling with de-symbolizing frameworks, but by the end of 2016 this also worked great.

Same here, no crash reports for beta apps, only apps live on the app store. Have never received crash reports for beta apps.
