anybody have issues with playing quicktime sound through the browser? any workaround woud be grateful thanks

The QuickTime plugin broke sound for many common file formats starting in Yosemite, and now in El Capitan the plugin itself has been removed entirely. Apple confirmed this in a bug report filed last year, closing it with the message "The QuickTime plugin is no longer supported on OS X 10.11."

I would suggest trying to play your sound using the HTML5 audio tag instead, possibly with a Flash-based fallback.
