OS X 10.11 iCloud settings deliver spinning wheel after expired password was changed

When I started my "El Capitan" partition today, I was requested to change the password on my Apple ID since it seemed to have expired.

So I did and the next thing that happened was that I was told there was no access to iCloud so I pressed the button "iCloud settings".

System settings showed up ("Systemeinstellungen" as I use a german localisation, was it "preferences" in english?) and a spinning wheel occured... That was the last thing to happen.

Same result, if I choose "iCloud" from the system settings directly. Spinning wheel, no dialog. Did not try to change the settings before, so I can't say if changing the password was actually the cause.

Anybody run into this also?

How can I post a bug report about that situation?

(Needless to say that I cannot use the CloudKit samples any more).

Many people had this same issue. I solved it by deleting all files from the following folder:

/Users/<YOUR HOME FOLDER>/Library/Application Support/iCloud/Accounts

Then reboot.

I was then able to get into the iCloud preference pane, where it asked me for my new password. After giving it, all was working again.

I had the same problems as Ulli, but for me the solution mentioned above did not help. Every time I tried to connect to iCloud I received a message: 'U kunt niet verbinden met iCloud vanwege een onbekende fout' (you cannot connect to iCloud due tuo an unknown error)

What DID help was changing the language in SYstem Preferences from Dutch to English, after that my iCloud-problems were gone (even after I changed the language back to Dutch)
