iOS 8.4 beta upgrade failed

Hi,

got two iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ failed to upgrade on iOS 8.4 beta 4: devices suspended in recovery mode.

Cannot restore them, getting errors:

1. restore using the same IPSW file: this device isn't eligible for the requested build

2. restore using iOS 8.3: getting unknown error 6.

Environment: Latest OSX and iTunes, both devices registered in iOS developer program.

Please suggest any steps to resolve the issue.

It means that somwhere in the downloading of the ipsws, there was a error and the files became corrupted. Try redownloading the ipsws. And, after you download one, rename it for the correct phone. You may be mixing up the two ipsws - it's very possible. Also, error 6 means you are trying to restore to an ipsw that is no longer supported. In this case, that's because you cannot restore to earlier versions once on the beta. It used to be to where that rule didn't take any action, but Apple has since fixed that. If all else fails, you may face an out-of-warranty repair for both devices. Once currupted, there isn't an easy recovery.

Hope this helps!
