Are there any app names which would be restricted from being submitted to the app store? Obviously nothing obscene or inappropriate would be allowed. The reason we are asking is we would like to name our app some thing very generic such as "TRANSFER". I know some systems have restrictions on words such as "ADMIN" or "SYSTEM". For example, as long as there was no copywrite restriction, could we create an app with names such as "TODAY", "SEND" or "PUSH"?

Avoid the obvious such as brand names and generic keywords pretending to be app names....those have really pushed Apple's buttons, lately. Keep in mind too that with so many apps in the store now, the odds of simple terms still being available are not in your favor.
