Unable to read from device

Hello

iPhone 5S, 10.0.1

Xcode 8.0b3 8s174q

I just installed the mentioned software, and the phone is stock. When I open Xcode, I try to build a sample project (or any of my regular projects for that matter) and I get the error "Unable to read from device" in xcode -> Window -> devices, as well it also reads the same.

I noticed that there are no Symbols in /Users/me/Library/Developer/Xcode/iOS\ DeviceSupport/10.0.1\ \(14A403\)

I tried restarting everything. As well as squinted at the computer for quite a while..

similar thread but unsolved and slightly different: https://forums.developer.apple.com/message/170217#170217

I am using xcode 8b3, i would try to upgrade to b6 but this is the gm? shouldn't it work?

Thanks.

Forget b3 or b6 (if you just installed, I'm not even sure where you found them) - if you're at 10.0.1 on a device you should install the latest Xcode 8 GM (8A218a). It's at the Resources link above, same place where 10.0.1 is found.

Here is a resolusion may help you, I tried and success, now i can debug with my iPhone. Hope it will help you

The solution was to go to:

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings

I'm pretty sure the phone was unable to download the symbols for itself?

It took a good 4 minutes to download the Symbols but I never saw "downloading symbols" before. Ok it's fixed! YAY. Onward to updating 3 apps! Better Late than never...

You 'da man 😉 interesting that worked - thanks for the follow up.
