Why I receive Invalid Toolchain error?

Hello

Today I have installed macOS Sierra GM 10.12 (16A322) and XCode 8GM (8A218a) from the AppStore.

I'm trying to upload my app to the iTunesConnect and upload is successful but in 15 minutes I received the email:

> Dear developer,

> We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "Prive". Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery:

> Invalid Toolchain - New apps and app updates must be built with the public (GM) versions of Xcode 6 or later, macOS, and iOS SDK. Don't submit apps built with beta software including beta macOS builds.

> After you’ve corrected the issues, you can use Xcode or Application Loader to upload a new binary to iTunes Connect.

What is that mean and how to fix it????

Apple clearly mentions that you should not use Beta versions of Xcode or Mac OS to submit apps. Mac OS Sierra is not officially released yet so you are using a beta. Invalid toolchain error is because of that, you must now go back to El Capitan.

As a developer, we should never try out the OS beta builds as its guranteed to break things.

But in this mail said:

> New apps and app updates must be built with the public (GM) versions of Xcode 6 or later, macOS, and iOS SDK.

The macOS Sierra 10.12 (16A322) isn't GM???

The first GM seed worked fine. This one *should* work per the rules (GM seeds are valid to submit apps as they state on the site) but I'm guessing that when the macOS team posted a 'new' GM seed, iTC wasn't updated with the new build number.

I pinged the iTC team to get it resolved. We'll see.

I have the same problem 😟

I also have this problem. I am using the MacOS GM (16A323) and the GM of XCode (8A218aJ).

@Mihael, it looks like my MacOS build number is one higher than yours. I just installed it today. It's possible they have released a slightly updated version since yesterday.

Keep in mind that Apple routinely says it is ok to use certain version tools, before the store/iTC has been updated to accept them. Left/right hand bad habit kind of thing it seems.

No idea how that joker got in the deck 😉

FYI: I was able to work around this issue using the approach detailed at this Stack Overflow question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/37823382/can-i-upload-xcode-builds-on-macos-10-12

The fact that it worked indicates that they have definitely not updated their backend for the most recent MacOS GM.

I have also submitted a support request to iTunes Connect, so hopefully this gets resolved soon.

Why I receive Invalid Toolchain error?
