Overheating

After installing iOS 9 Beta on my iPhone 6 Plus, I've experienced my iPhone screen and white bezel getting incredibly hot. Even when my iPhone 6 Plus ran iOS 8, it never came this hot. Any tips or suggestions to stop this? This is a very common problem since I've updated.

Thanks,

Mike

Having the same issue. Would love to hear of possible solutions as well.

Well, it's a beta. Something went of the rails and utilises the cpu 'a bit mor' than usual.

You can reboot the device and hope it doesn't happen again soon or turn the device off until beta 2 is release (which may be today)

Make sure you also try killing any processes that are running in the background. (Apps, Games etc.) But like Dirk said, a reboot will fix it temporarily.

Mines getting hot as well, but only when charging. Definantly more so than previously, but not getting any hotter than the Iphone 5 would when it was charging.

Reboot did nothing to help

I have done that, but sadly hasn't worked at all, hopefully iOS 9 Beta 2, expected to release today, fixes this

sometimes I've found in other versions of iOS this can be caused by an exchange calendar (if you are using exchange.) So just turn off the calendar for a little and turn it back on and let it re-sync.

Also always try the double button restart (or two finger salute) to restart the phone (i.e. home and power.)

Hope this works.
