I noticed I can't select Singapore from the country dropdown menu. After checking the FAQ, I saw this,
"Cards from the following countries are not valid forms of payment: Austria, Chile, Cuba, Ghana. Hungary, Iran, Mauritius, North Korea, Philippines, Singapore."
Why is this the case? When are we going to be able to apply for Search Ads ?
We have the same problem for our contry (Austria). I'd strongly suggest you to call Apple Developer Support on the phone (https://developer.apple.com/contact/phone/) to inquire about this further!
Also, even if Singaporean credit cards were not an accepted form of payment, this should not preclude you from signing up.
Hope someone from Apple can look into this soon!
For us in Austria is the same, but we called support and they told us we're a special case and that the problem has to with developers advertising in the unavailable countries, e.g. Austrian developer advertising in Austria. However, our main markets are outside of Austria and this would make the case special.
They don't know much and they told me everything is very new and they still need to figure things out first.
Let's hope for a fix, and/or dedicated account management/Support for this service!
I'm curious, who exactly did you call and what exactly did they tell you? When we called Apple Developer Support (0820 001219 from within Austria; they are operating out of Ireland for all EU-based developers) yesterday, they were stunned that Austria wasn't on the Search Ads signup form and promised they would look into it and get back to us ASAP (which hasn't happened yet.)
Did you get any reply from them yet ? I would now call on Monday as its already a weekend.
No reply yet, but then again, it's Sunday and I don't expect them to get back to us until next week.
We are also an Austrian developer who wants to do search ads in our biggest market and I also got info from Apple that Austria is off the list for now. I assume it is due to taxes Austrian, Hungary and also Singpore have special taxes on ads. I think thats why we ended on some black list and that Apple is now evaluating how they can deal with that.
