How do I use the iMessage App Icon Template for Photoshop

I'm new to development and am trying to create a sticker pack. I've downloaded the template from the developer website and opened it in Photoshop. How do I use it now?

Just stumbled on this trying to find something else out. I literally just figured out this part of the app icons so heres how the template works:

  • Open the file in photoshop.
  • Click in the empty white space on the 1024x768
  • Your layers will open and show you one named "icon." Double click that layer to open it and edit it. Paste/drag whatever your image into this new screen and hit file save.
  • Go back to the template and all the images will be filled in.
  • Now you can follow the minimal directions on the template to file generate images and then it updates the blank png files in the folder to be yours.

Better late than never i suppose. Hopfully you already figured it out by now. Does not seem like anybody is reading posts and giving any sort of answers ever.

The problem i am running into is it gives me a few icons at different sizes than xcode wants. It builds fine and all but there are warnings so it makes it kind of annoying. Not sure if its intentional or what. One of the icons is a pretty significant difference than what its hoping for though... very weird.....

Any time you talk about iOS, icons and PS, be sure to grab the DevRocket plugin for PS. PS isn't very iOS savvy without it.

I am having the worst time finding the AppIcon template and sticker size template. Can you please provide me a link to the download?

Just remember that this thread is two years old, so blinkmetoy's above instructions might not be current.
