Anyone else getting an error when trying to install iOS 14?
Error Installing iOS 14
I signed out of iCloud, installed the update, and then signed back in. Saw this work for a few other people as well :)
Yeah, mine is doing the same thing. When I press Agree in the terms and conditions, it just does nothing. You can't go back or anything. When you press the disagree button, it just puts you back to the software update screen. You can't press anything besides the home button after you press agree. Ugh, Apple, FIX THIS NOW
everything was fine in the process but my phone has been installing for 18 hours and it turns black and white and crashes a lot. i have a new iphone xs max
yes have been stock for hours

Yeah I’m having the same issue, please let me know if you can fix it
I had the same problem, but I was available to fix it. I didn’t have enough space, so I deleted the apps that I was not using and I was available to install it.
I signed out of iCloud then updated to it & everything worked
"unable to install update because you are not connected to the internet". While i am connected i still get the message, after also unable to reset network settings as it just simply doesnt load

Same here. Tried logging out of iCloud, still same response. Did a factory reset on the entire device, still same response.
I have same issue. I have tried all the same than GaryAT. I have iPad Pro and after factory reset the IOS version is 13.7.
I spent hours restart, hard reset, sign out icloud, sign in icloud, new icloud user all didn't work.
I tried the following and it worked, go to Setting -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings
This will clear all prior Settings but content will remain, after this go try the Software Update again after setting up wifi again.
It worked for me, hope this help
Love from Singapore :)

SOLVED for me:
I had this exact problem with an iPhone 7 128Gb. Factory reset and not logged in to iCloud it still failed after verify of iOS 14.2.
The solution here was to disable lock code on the phone. A quite unintuitive solution.

Many thanks VonOben. Your solution worked for me too! My iPhone would verify the iOS download then say it had hit an error and try again later. I also couldn't update it via iTunes as it recognised that an iOS upgrade was there, tried to access the software server then did nothing. Disabling my passcode worked perfectly. Thank you :o)
Can confirm, it FINALLY worked when I disabled my passcode. Super frustrating, but there's the answer.
I can confirm no resets needed just remove the password temporarily and it will in fact remove error message and proceed to install the software! :)
Didnt work for me on a iphone 6s plus
For me, this error was shown when there was not enough free space on the device. As soon as I had 2-3 GB of free space, the update was able to proceed.
(I had also signed out of the iCloud account before that, so perhaps this also solved another of the stumbling blocks.)

I’ve tried all the fix, restart, delete and try again, keep iPad plugged in but still UPDATE FAIL.
And I have tons of storage left.

Disable “Passcode” in Settings. Worked on the first try. So simple, but not posted anywhere but here. Good luck!
Not Working. iPad Air 2. Disabled passcode. Reset All settings. Deleted and re-downloaded update. Power cycled iPad. “An error occurred installing iPadOS 14.2”.
