What worked for me is logging out of iCloud then try downloading.
took the advice of @Areyoukidding and deleted passcode. Worked. Genius. Good Luck!

I can confirm it worked by disabling the passcode.
I disabled the code. Didn't work. Then logged out of iCloud and now it's installing (iPad Air2 - 14.2). Thanks to those that suggested the workaround.
I deleted the update and reinstalled it 3 times now no luck.. will it ruin my phone to just stay on regular 14.0 forever??
Hey y’all. Just want to add and confirm that I had the same exact issue on my iPhone 7, yes it’s old! But disabling the passcode worked like a charm!!!
Confirming iPad Pro 12.9 would not install 14.2. I removed the passcode and signed out of iTunes and it installed. Cheers

download started and after it was preparing to install. After that I got an error saying, that cannot be installed.
I removed/ turned off passcode for unlock and everything.
switch back to software update and it begun the installing of new version.
Time necessarily for software download and software installation -something like 30 minutes

I signed out of icloud and it didn't work. Then I disabled password for my phone and it worked! Thank y'all so much! I have been trying for ages just to get this to update.
i have reset the factor setting but not able to download the ios 14.3 on my i phone

Been having this issue for four days. Saw this post, tried signing out of icloud and disabling my passcode. It actually worked, update is installing right now

Removing passcode and then trying again fixed it for me
iPhone 6S. Upgraded from 13.4.1 to 14.3. I had to log out of iCloud as mentioned. Still got error. Did a restart and then it went flawlessly.

Tried removing passcode, reset network settings, and reset all settings, nothing works.
Finally downloded ios 14.3 using itunes. At first installation I got error 4000, then I tried removing passcode from the phone and that was it.

Le he quitado la contraseña de acceso y cerré sesión de icloud, elimine la descarga de ios y la volví a descargar pero nada de eso funciona, vaya pérdida de tiempo y sin solucionar....
Disabling passcode worked first try. Settings > Touch ID and Passcode > Disable Passcode.

First step removing the passcode: Settings > Touch ID and Passcode > Disable Passcode.
Second step: Logging out of iCloud
Thereafter the software update installed successfully.

had to unload apps to download the update and now cannot get apps off of cloud because the update is sitting there and won't install.

Hands up for locking out the icloud and trying to free your storage, it works! At first I tried 5-6 times updating while my storage was left 3.6 gb, but that's not enough. so I tried to delete some images until it's free up to 4 gb and then I can update my phone.
iPad Pro 9.7 Tried many times to download ios 14.4 and kept getting errors. I have plenty of storage space so that's not the issue. Logged out of the app store and trying again but it's going really slow so I don't feel good about it. I have a good wireless connection and currently plugged into a charger. Some have logged out of iCloud and had success but I don't know how to do that on my iPad. Can anyone provide guidance??
