10.12.1 B3 "Could not be verified" error

Hi Everyone...

I keep getting on reboot to install the B3, the error:

"macOS 10.12.1 Developer Beta could not be verified. You can try updating again in the AppStore after restarting."

Does not matter how many times I do this, the same issue.

Could this be the fact I'm running off Hotel Wifi..?? And is there a way around this? The laptop is just constantly redownloading the files, as it deletes them after the reboot.

Thanks...!!!

check Date & Time of your Mac, are they ok?

Hi MacDoc...

That is a good point..!!

I have altered the timezone, and will redownload (again) and see what happens.

I tried to install the three pkg files manually, but all I got were errors telling me things were missing, so that didn't work either.

Thanks for your reply.

That is because you tried to do it from the same partition. That used to work for older systems, but doesn't anymore in sierra.

Nevertheless it can be made to work if you use a different partition running el capitan as indicated in this thread: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/64806

tywebbooooo...

Only have the Sierra partitiona nd Bootcamp.

I tried the suggestion as indicated in that post for installing from the same partition. That failed with the same error.

MacDoc....

Timezone change did not fix it either. Still failed with the same error.

Now it's downloading it again..!!!

If you use the second method in that thread, i.e., install from a second partition, that partition does not need to be on the same machine. It can be on an external hard drive.
