IOS 14 WiFi

Anyone experiencing issues with IOS 14 and wifi connectivity?
my iPhone updated to ios 14.1 yesterday night and since then, the wifi won’t connect. It would keep spinning and never connects. It’s horrible since I just got a new wifi connection that’s fast and reliable. I hate this.
As previous users here, Wifi wont connect after 14.1 update. Password invalid.

Solution for me: Disconnect Bluetooth, connect to Wifi, then re-enable Bluetooth. And Wifi still working.
Been having this issue since IOS 14 update with my iPhone 8. So frustrating! Tried most of the suggestions in this thread and have kept my wifi turned off since nothing seemed to fix it. The one that appears to be working is uninstalling the Norton VPN app from my phone, rebooting my phone and turning wifi back on. So far, so good. This should absolutely be rectified though as it appears to have also impacted my coverage, in general. Never had an issue with Apple products before, I hope this does not become a regular thing as these devices are way too expensive to be rendered useless.
I am having the EXACT OPPOSITE issue since updating to iOS 14.1! My iPhone 6S Plus will now ONLY connect via my home Wi-Wi and will not access any apps or internet using Verizon as my ISP?!?! This is very frustrating and is rendering my phone as usless as a brick!
The key problem for me and many others is that IOS 14 has lost its wifi strength and will drop out with two bars still showing. About five pads in recent years and never had a problem in the house with wifi and another device using 13 has no problems. So its down to IOS 14 and none of the work arounds work to remedy the problem.
My Iphone 11 just updated 2 days ago for ios 14.1 and now I keep getting disconnected from the wifi and cellular network every 2 minutes.
Yes, I have an issue too. I never downloaded the software for IOS 14.1 and last night I had no wifi at all. I still don't have it and have done everything to fix it. Nothing as mentioned works. I am at a loss and I'm wasting valuable data rates now as well thanks to this unwelcomed update without mention of it to your customers APPLE. This is more than disappointing! I also have bad battery drain to go along with this. I never update unless I wait and read the reviews and this time I wasn't even asked. I have done all hardware fixes as mentioned to router and reset my iPhone only to find it still doesn't work. PLEASE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY and make sure that your software works properly BEFORE putting everyone listed here and owning an iPhone in a predicament for which we cannot get out of. This is not how you take care of your loyal customers. How would you like us to turn the tables on you? Poor customer service!!! Do what needs to be done and get this fixed fast! We have lives and businesses to attend to.
After updating my phone to 14.1 I’m having WiFi issues. My device won’t pick up certain home networks anymore. They just won’t show up on my phone network list. They appear to be mostly the 5G networks. Other devices show them. Have tried multiple quick fixes such as turning off wireless and turning back on, but it appears to be random and haven’t found the cause or the fix. Once again, never had this happen prior to the update.
So over night the new 14.1 update went through on my phone because I was connected to the WiFi. Well now this morning I wake up (not knowing it updated) and my WiFi button is Grey’d out completely. So my WiFi is off and I can’t turn it on nothing. Anyone know how to fix it? Sounds like the 14.1 has HUGE issues all around. This is why I never update them till months after I just forgot to disconnect it. 🤦🏻‍♀️
I’ve been struggling with wifi issues since instaling ios 14. Yesterday I did a factory reset and restored back up from icloud and it helped!!! Everything works perfectly! I know that for someone it’s probably the final option but I hope that this solution will help someone :)
I also had this problem and solved by deleting the VPN setting on my Avira VPN setting.
Yes, you're not alone
Same here with my 8 Plus that cannot connect to any wifi after updating from 13.7 to 14.1. I tried "everything" (restore from backup or as new, reset network settings, tested 5 different routers, deactivated private address, no vpn app installed, downgrade to 14.0.1, fresh 14.1 restore via DFU mode etc.). Now it lies in the corner and ends its existence as a paperweight! Great job...!
I updated to IOS 14.2 today thinking it would help the Wifi issue, but nothing has changed it. Apple, please FIX THIS! Now anything attached to my router will no longer work. When will you have a fix for this?????? Soon I hope!
I have the same issue with my phone when i upgraded to IOS 14 and up, I was hoping the latest upgrade will fix this but still the same issue.. fix this please!!
Nothing changed with iOS 14.2, still not able to connect to any network!
Didn’t have issues on my 11 Pro Max 512gb with 14.1, 14.2 updated and I can’t login on my router.
I am on an iPhone 8 Plus. I've been having an issue since the first IOS 14 update and the latest still hasn't corrected it. Wifi keeps dropping. The settings tell me I am connected to a wifi network, however the phone thinks it's still using my LTE data coverage which is sparse at my house and very slow. I've tried the airplane mode trick with no success. Rebooting the phone will sometimes reconnect me but I don't stay connected.
I just bought a new iPhone XR like 2 weeks ago and it updated to iOS 14, and the iOS 14.2 but apparently when my phone is on sleep mode wifi just stops working for a moment cause notifications only arrive when unlocking it. This also happens when trying to use WhatsApp web. it says that my phone has no connection. I thought my new phone was damaged, but it seems its because of this version of iOS. if anyone knows how to fix it please help me.
Please help me I haven’t been able to connect to wifi untill I sit next to my router this is happening since my 14.0 update please help me I will cry off man this is very hard to take in and my front camera also stopped working out of no where please help

I’m having trouble with iOS 14.2 it says to connect to internet when I am
Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their iOS 14.2 update—you know, the update that fixed the WiFi dropping issue—Rrrrrriiiiiiggggghhhhhttttt. Apple this is getting ridiculous!!! It's been almost 2 months since you released iOS 14 and you've not yet taken responsibility for this train wreck of a release. How about begin re-signing iOS 13.x for all devices so your customers can go back to getting things done working from home?"!!! By the way, everyone should try to have a phone conversation using WiFi calling with when their phone keeps dropping off the WiFi connection every 5 minutes!!! And, in case anyone out there wants to make suggestions, I have 4 other iPhones (8+, 6+, & 2 5s[s]) that will remain connected to my perfectly tuned WiFi mesh everywhere my Xs Max drops off—my Xs Max would never drop off my WiFi network in those areas until iOS 14 was installed. The older phones have one thing in common: they're not running (or able to run) iOS 14.x It's not my network, it's not my VPN (I'm not running one), it's not my router or access point (AP) settings (because they have not changed), and it's not a router or AP firmware update (becuase none has been updated since updating to iOS 14.x)—It's iOS 14.x!!! I had to drop back down to my iPhone 6+ to get work done and make and take phone calls!!! To that end, my Xs Max is currently an EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT!!!

Hey Mohhammed from India, I feel your pain. See the post I submitted 2 weeks ago entitled, Apple Is Too Quiet & Moving At A Snail's Pace With a Remedy For iOS 14.x WiFi Connection Dropping Issue.—It's a long and catchy title. Since that post, I've noticed a number of patterns: First, my Xs Max remains connected to my older 802.11n AP—even when I'm on the other side of my home, but not to my 802.11ac router (located 12 feet up on a plant shelf) when I'm standing right in front of it. However, my Xs Max will remain connected all day long to my 802.11ac AP in my office (sits 10 feet from where I work)—that is, if my Xs Max does not leave my office. As I stated in my prior post: Apple has either made an undisclosed change to the WiFi device driver or someone on the iOS development team forgot to finish developing or testing it.

Oh, one more thing (couldn't resist): MacOS 10.17.5 is causing the same issue. There are some common pieces between both OS[s] such as device drivers.
Home WiFi spec: WiFi 6

I have no problem with my iPad 7th gen (14.2) and Macbook Pro 2020 (Catalina) that is associated with my iCloud account.

My wife has an iPad mini 4th gen (WiFi model) and iPhone SE 2020 that is associated with her account.
She has an issue that both devices WiFi connectivity is extremely slow after the OS update.
I tried the followings for my wife's devices but no luck.
  • Network reset

  • Disable/Enable Private address

  • Manual DNS configuration

  • Turned off WiFi each device at a time

Those gave some improvements at the very first couple of browsing and it's slow again.

Workaround: Turned off WiFi of the iPhone and the iPad mini is tethered to the iPhone.
It is a little help that she's not streaming to home devices and we're with unlimited data plans.
Hope there is a fix asap and I really don't want to perform factory resets to those devices.

Everything was fine before iOS 14 (and still is for every non-iOS 14 device in this house). I'm not using a VPN, I've tried private address on/off, factory resetting the entire phone and wifi still unpredictably drops with iOS 14.2.

I'm not looking for a haphazard workaround ("use a fixed IP address", "change DHCP settings", "change your DNS", "sit closer to the router", "restart your equipment more often", "make sure you disable 5Ghz", "only use 5Ghz", "try a different router" etc) I'm looking for Apple to take responsibility for their failure and fix it, or at least allow a downgrade to a working iOS 13 in the meantime.

Trouble is... does anyone at Apple even read these discussions? Why care about just 170 or so users out of however many millions?
I have the same issue. I used to “bypass” my Wi-Fi problem by switching to cellular data. However, after the 14.2 I HAVE NO CELLULAR DATA AT ALL. I tried to chat with some Apple agents, but I always end up with nothing since my connection drops every 5 mins or so. I used to have iPhone XS before the iOS 14, and thanks to that wonderful update(s), I have a very expensive iPod Nano now. Thanks Apple!
