Speech Recognition permission in App Clip?

Hi there. My app uses speech recognition and in including the functionality into my clip I've noticed that whilst Microphone usage is allowed, Speech is .denied by default (and not visible via Settings > App Clips > (my clip)..

Is this expected, and if so, are there any plans to allow speech into Clips?

Yes, this is expected behavior. While most frameworks are available to app clips, there are a few frameworks who aren't available to them to protect the user's privacy. For more information, see Developing a Great App Clip.
