Can't download Xcode 11.5 - May 20, 2020 on Catalina 10.15.5

My Mac has 3 old versions of Xcode installed on it: 9.4.1, 10.1 and 10.3. I recently installed Catalina 10.15.5. And then downloaded and successful installed Xcode 11.5 - May 3, 2020.

I brought up the app that I was writing and graphically (with 11.5) it was a mess. I didn't have time to fix everything. So, I brought up 10.3, to my surprise 10.3 worked on Catalina (I thought it wasn't supposed to work)!!!

The App Store says that there is an update for Xcode. I've tried 6 or 7 times and I get the same messages that others have gotten: "Unable to Download App. "Xcode"could not be installed. Please try again later."

The weird thing is that main screen of the App Store window shows that its after 11.5 May 20, 2020. But if I click my name the window that shows the other things that were and are being updated, it appears to indicate that it's downloading 10.3 from Mar 31, 2013. That makes no sense. And in the applications folder there is an X near 10.3 and a status bar.

I tried going to the developer site and it downloads the file but, I can't open it because it is corrupt.

I've tried resetting the PRAM, but that didn't work.

I do not want to delete Xcode 10.3.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks ahead of time!
