Anonymous chat app

Hello,

It's a theoretical question, but I'd be interested in your opinions. There is a website which allows people to have one-to-one conversations with each other, without having to register. It's like Omegle (which has plenty of apps on the Store), but it's not an English site, and users have to provide their gender in order to chat.

Anyway, If I decided to make an app for it, I'm afraid it would be rejected on grounds that it doesn't provide functionality to block/report certain users. However, the site itself has no such functionality, and to be honest, neither do Omegle apps on the Store -- and they got approved somehow.

Do you see any chance for an app like this to get approved?

Well, there aren't any pre-reviews, nothing in the store now is a promise of what will/won't be approved, app review isn't here and if there are, as you say, no means to provide functionality to block/report certain users, my opinion is that you'll need to submit for a review and find out, but I'd bet against getting in.

Good luck.

You can assign a number to each device (deviceNumber) and a number to each message (messageNumber). You can include the deviceNumber in the message database without displaying the deviceNumber in the message and you can display the messageNumber in each message. If a user wants to complain about a message they use a 'contact us' button to tell you about the message by specifying the messageNumber. If you find it objectionable you can delete that message and flag the messages with the same deviceNumber as that message. You can block messages from that deviceNumber.
