Big Sur & Xcode 12

I just bought MacBook Pro 16" to get into iOS development and with the intention of becoming an iOS developer. I have some basic knowledge on coding.
But I have no idea about Swift and the Xcode. So, since the BigSur has Xcode 12 and the latest version of Swift and SwiftUI, can anybody recommend if I need to install BigSur or Catalina is good enough?

Thanks in advance!

Since you're that new, I'd suggest to avoid betas of any type until you get your feet under you.

If you're used to thin ice, mine fields, and self-support, then by all means, go for it ;)

Good luck in any case.
