Ios9 unable to pair with Watch OS 2

Anyone experience the watch hanging at the pairing screen after you select the orientation? I'm running beta 2 with Watch OS beta 1

Did you download the certificate then try to pair?

Update

Pairing with an iPhone 6 failed for both Watches, but now both Watches were upgraded using an iPhone 5s with iOS9b2

Even after watches are upgraded to watchOS 2b2 and pair to the iPhone 5s, they cannot pair to the iPhone 6

Options:

  • iOS9b2 for iPhone 6 has a bug
  • Something I have deployed on the iPhone 6 makes the pairing fail.

I'll try:

  • Reset all connections in iPhone6 and try pairing
  • install iOS9 fresh in iPhone 6 and try pairing again

You can't access settings on an unpaired watch.

let me know how this works out for you! would be interested to know.

Say what? You mean I can only install watchos2 on my watch if I've been using betas from the get go? That's insane

No that's not what I mean.

I mean the phone has to be on iOS 9 before you can install watchOS 2

I was able to overcome this by doing a 'reset all settings' on the phone.

I understand that ios9 is required, but my watch has become unpaired after ios9 upgrade and I can't get beyond "which wrist" in the pairing process. Yes, the watch is still watchos1. Oh man, do I need to defuse and install ios8 then re-pair. This is absolutely insane.

Yeah man if your watvh is still on OS 1 that's absolutely what I would do. My issue is that I am on watchOS 2 and i can't even go back to publicly signed firmware to even retry.

FYI I reset all settings per advice from another user, and am currently syncing my beta2 iphone with watch os1

This makes no sense

If you don't have a paired phone+watch, then you cannot deploy the profile on the watch

Yes this also worked for me.

you have to install the profile on the phone. That's what I was meaning, but apparently this wasn't the issue.

I had iOS 9 beta 2 and Watch OS 2. Was getting the couldn't pair issue after choosing a wrist. Erase All Content and Settings on the iPhone worked for me. Paired flawlessly afterwards.

At the end, only resetting the iPhone 6 and starting with a fresh install allowed me to pair with the Watches. Some deployed profile, or perhaps an app were preventing the BT pair to stay open long enough to successfully pair the devices.
