Has anyone else gotten a black screen where the screen responds but it just black and you can't seen what you are doing? If so, how did you fix this?

My iphone 11 has black screen of death also! I already force restart its working but the the screen remains black

I have never been so disappointed with my Apple products.
My Apple Watch (series 5) was dying after 30min of being fully charged and sometimes unresponsive. Unfortunately, I had to update my iPhone XR with iOS 14 to update my watch. It's been ruining my life ever since.
My phone now has this black screen of death! It's definitely not a hardware issue, bc my screen will sometimes work and then fully fades out after some time. You can see the backlight, but it's just black. I can feel vibrations when someone texts/calls/the screen lock slide, but I'm unable to do anything. My alarm also keeps going off and I can only turn it off with my watch...
In addition to this problem, I can't use the new two-factor authentication to get on to iCloud on my laptop/web/iPad etc., bc it's linked to my text messages... so I was unable to even schedule a Genius bar appt.
I called Apple support who was not helpful. I went to Apple, but I couldn't get a Genius bar appt. for an entire week... and then I couldn't schedule an appt. to buy a new phone until 5hrs later. I went to Verizon who said people have been coming in for 2 wks with similar issues. Verizon set me up with my new iPhone 11 only for my old one to turn right back on right as I was leaving. I returned my new phone thinking everything was fine, only to get home and it having the same issue. Also, pretty infuriating that I will have to replace my XR for an 11 that will be outdated in a month when iPhone 12 comes out at the same price (or less).
Pretty convenient for Apple to sabotage all my iPhones at the 2 year mark. Literally have had ZERO issues with my iPhone XR until this (forced) software update. Shame on you Apple!

I have the same problem with my 2017 ipad pro. Black screen but you can see that the light of the screen turns on. I can even use Siri. I bought the tablet 2 3/4 years ago and it's garbage now. I will not buy another apple product again. 1000€!!! Never again.
