iOS 9 b2 - iCloud backup still can't be deleted

Just installed the iOS 9 beta 2 update and unfortunately it looks like I still can't delete my iCloud backup. Maybe beta 3 will give us some relief.

i hope so, having the same issue

Me too. While I was able to do an iCloud backup of my phone (not possible for me on beta 1), the size of the backup balooned to 2.1GB (used to be well under 1GB). In an instant I went from having roughly 3.9GB available to 1.9GB available. Curious to see what happens when I try to backup my iPad tonight.

Glad to hear someone else is having this problem too. I thought I was going insane when my iCloud storage was basically empty and I kept having backup problems. Most recently all my backups "disappeared" like they don't exist but are still taking up my storage.

Hi!

What I just did in my phone to solve it:

1. Activate iCloud.

2. On iCloud settings, activate Backup and create backup from there.

3. On Storage, a backup of 0 KB appeared, I deleted it and then my storage was freed from ghost backup. However, in the iCloud settings, it appeared "3.2 GB available" so...

4. I restarted the iCloud settings and it showed me 5GB again.

From above can comfirm this works. You will have to do it on each device you think may have backup up to the icloud.

Note...Once you re-eanble backup, then on Setting>>Cloud>>Storage>>Manage Storage>> Device Name Backup, wait for this screen to populate with information (i.e the current backup file size in my case ipad 1.4GB & iphone 2GB) then icloud then select delete option below.

Back to Setting>>iCloud and turn off backup again. Bob's your uncle,

Managed to get 3.4GB back myself.
