Is Mac OS Big Sur compatible perfectly with eGPU, such as 5700XT?

Right now, I am using 16in MBP pro with Catalina 10.15.7 and it works well. Bootcamp also works well with 5700XT. I am wondering if everything will be fine if I update to Mac OS Big Sur.

I just upgraded to Big Sur and my eGPU setup that worked with Catalina, no longer works for Big Sur. It seems there was a firmware change that may be at the heart of the issue. I am currently trying to downgrade back to Catalina, but I am pretty sure it won’t correct the issue due to the firmware change.
