After release candidate 2 even on the 11.0.1, i have been facing major battery drain on my MBP 13 2018 - 4 thunderbolt 3, the battery life has been terrible, i tried resetting NVRAM PRAM and SMC but nothing helped also tried limiting spotlight activities, but still the same, Can anyone help if there is some other solution to this?

I've the same problem and I was doing the same, reset NVRAM and SMC and nothing :(
Had battery drain and overheating for two weeks after Big Sur install. Tried all the "fixes" noted here and in other threads. My activity monitor showed that a process called "kernelmanagerd" was running at 60-80 CPU% at all times. Then I read that Malwarebytes was causing same problems for others that resolved when uninstalled.
I had downloaded this software long ago and had actually forgotten about it. It was only when I saw it as a program that could be "uninstalled" in my CleanMyMac app that I had a lightbulb moment. I removed Malwarebytes, rebooted my mac and things have returned to normal.
