Hello everyone!
Sorry if this topic was discussed previously but I did not find any already existing topic that answers my questions.
So we are monetizing our games by selling In App Purchases, more specifically consumables. Naturally we offer smaller and bigger packages, currently ranging from 1,99€ (tier 2) to 99,99€ (tier 60). Unfortunately our app got rejected every time when a package was created using a higher price tier than 60. While this was stated as reason for rejecting the latest version from the review team there is actually not a single word on the subject in any of the official documents (at least I never saw such a statement).
If Apple does not want us to use a higher price tier than 60 for consumables I wonder why this is not clearly stated in any of the official documents and why they do not simply block such tiers in the drop down menu. You have to select the item category first so blocking the user from selecting a higher price tier can be done easily but yet was not done.
This is especially frustrating as a big competitor starting with Go and ending in ogle allows higher prices to be used for consumables and our data clearly shows that there is an actual demand on packages more expensive than 99,99€.
Latest rumor I heard is that it is possible to use a price tier above 60 for consumables using “iTunes dynamic link”.It would be great if anyone could comment on that and add some information. So is there a way to sell consumables for a higher price tier? Can a company qualify for that?
Thanks for any answers in advance!
Kind Regards,
Hasdrubal
