Difference between app units and installations

A user/family can /buyfree download your app one time, but install it to more than one device.

Hi All,

i the last month (agust) my app units metric record strange activity from China. 1k app units but 0 installations.

what happen ? i need some security activities ?

I am seeing exactly the same issue....

100's of App Units in china with 0 installs and I did 0 marketing to China.

Something is wrong with the stats if you ask me?!?!

Any ideas?

Well you aren't alone. Same thing here, a lot of "app units" from China with next to none "installs" or usage.

I can also add that HockeyApp metrics verify that there was none (or very few) installs resulting from these "app units". Unless HockeyApp is blocked by Chinas great firewall.

Same here. I am seeing 50-100 app units everyday from China and my App doesn't even work in China.

Same questiob, how it could be having daily 10k from China with few installs ? Apple team, should we be worry?! Is it a security issue.. very important!!
