I perform a variation of QA with customer apps. They send me an .ipa file, and I download the app to a USB connected iOS device (or an emulator device through Xcode).
However, after the 14.4.2 update, I repeatedly get the 'Unable to install the app' notification. I have tried to drag & drop both in the Finder window and in the Xcode devices window.
This is not an issue for my emulator devices that are running iOS 14.4. Is there a preferred new or different way to download ipa files locally?
To clarify: These are clean apps from reputable companies. I am downloading them locally to QA prior to App Store deployment.
