My Cursor is stuck on login. Help?

Hi,

I installed the new beta build for El Capitan today.

When I login the cursor does not move at all with or without a mouse connected. I disconnect the AC and reboot with no difference

When booting in Safe Mode it works fine, does anyone know if there is a corrupt file or something causing this when it tries to run on boot?

Thanks a lot

The fact that it works in Safe Mode would usually suggest that there is a competing driver - however a number of people have reported USB/peripheral device issues with this DP.

Presumably you've tried unplugging everything and plugging the mouse in after OS X is booted up?

You could try a NVRAM (Command (⌘), Option, P, and R) and SMC (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295) reset to rule out associated issues.

Failing that, it looks like a corrupted driver, for which the best thing is a clean install.

Hey, thanks for the message.

Yes I disconnected it all. Also opened all programs in safe mode but cursor still worked. Must be drivers.

Going to try NVRAM and SMC now. Will update

Thanks

Did it work?
