Xcode is giving me an error that I do not have enough storage to run on my MacBook. I have well more than the 11.3gb it takes to download it. Yet still won't let me download. I tried downloading it straight from the downloads link on the developers website and is still not working please get back to me if you have a solution.
XCode won't run on my MacBook
11.3 GB is the compressed file to download.
But you will need an extra 15-20 GB at least to uncompress.
Plus a lot of GB to install.
All in all, you should have at least 50 to 80 GB available to install new version.
That's a lot effectively.
You could try to download from here:
https://developer.apple.com/download/more/
It requires usually a little less disk space.

Thank you this is the solution I usually get but I have 68GB free and only 128GB total So I am cutting my luck I guess. Should I sell this laptop and get a new one if I am going to be developing most the time
