I needed to delete the com.apple.quarantine attribute for permission reasons, but I accidentally ended up deleting the com.apple.macl attribute from the Downloads folder of my mac. After looking on many forums, it appears that I shouldn't of been able to delete this attribute. Somehow, I was able to do so without any warning from my mac.
I deleted it by using xattr -d com.apple.macl Downloads/
How can I restore this? Should I worry about restoring it?
