High WiFi latency with MacBook Air M1

Hey there,

I just bough a MacBook Air M1 to replace my MacBook Pro 2016. I am am on the newest macOS and the ping times to my router are crazy high (they vary between a normal 2ms and very 30 ms when pinging the router). The MacBook Pro (same macOS version) gives a constant and normal latency (2-4ms) when pinging the router. I tried it with 3 different routers and 5 ghz N-, AC-, and AX-mode, its always the same...

Is there anything I can do to track down where the delay comes from or ideally solve the issue?

Its specific to the MacBook Air, as the Pro as well as my iPhone XS don't have any problems ...

Exactly the same here, with latencies of nearly 300ms to the gateway... this is clearly a driver/motherboard/cpu/nic queue issue, and seems nobody is caring about it... :/ Frustrating

--- 192.168.49.1 ping statistics ---

206060 packets transmitted, 205051 packets received, +10 duplicates, 0.5% packet loss

round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 1.556/45.372/1184.151/84.248 ms

Similar scenario - I have an intel macbook air has terrible latency, lots of dropped packets; adjacent macbook pro m1 has normal latency, no drops. Flattened, reinstalled, restored from time machine, same outcome.
