mail signatures

I'm having trouble in OSX 11's Mail 9.0 with non-iCloud signatures. I cannot utilize any signature (either previously created or newly created with any of my non-iCloud accounts). I can however, use the iCloud signatures with my non-iCloud accounts.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS MIGHT BE LIMITED TO EXCHANGE ONLY - AS I HAVE MY iCLOUD ACCOUNT AND 2 EXCHANGE ACCOUNTS.

The signature location has moved as well:

Formerly they were stored in:

~Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Signatures/

Now I see that any new signature created in Mail 9.0 is kept in:

~Library/Mail/V3/MailData/Signatures/

***Notice the "V3" Folder. If I create a new html signature via the methods I've used in the past, including creating a dummy signature placeholder for a non-iCloud account, a new .mailsignature file is created in this new location (~Library/Mail/V3/MailData/Signatures/), however, when I edit and lock it, although it's present in Mail Preferences when I relaunch Mail.app, I cannot use it. I've troubleshooted assigning signatures to accounts as well as removing signature assignments and re-assigning them to these non-iCloud, Exchange accounts.

AGAIN, THIS IS LIKELY LIMITED TO EXCHANGE ONLY AS I HAVE MY iCLOUD ACCOUNT AND 2 EXCHANGE ACCOUNTS.

Anyone have any ideas? I suppose I could change my exchange email to iMAP which I know can be done on the exchange, although this is not my preference.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I've gotten this to work by leaving the header and footer of the 'dummy' signature in place:

Message-Id: <6F32A4C5-AA85-...>
Mime-Version: 1.0 (Mac OS X Mail 9.0 \(3067\))
Content-Type: multipart/related;
  type="text/html";
  boundary="Apple-Mail=_20E36850-00AA-493A-..."

--Apple-Mail=_20E36850-00AA-493A-...
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Content-Type: text/html;
  charset=us-ascii

<Your HTML Here>

--Apple-Mail=_20E36850-00AA-493A-...--

Did you migrate an existing machine to a clean install of 10.11 DP or install DP over a Yosemite machine that had working signatures?

I'll have to deal with a similar situation (numerous custom sigs) when El Cap is final and want to know what I'm up against before that point.

Thanks.

Cheers,

Jon
