Hi!
I've just registered to ask this question, since I bought the 7 over the 6s because I really wanted the stabilization and the larger aperture. I mainly shot in raw with my previous iphone, but now I discovered that the Optical Image Stabilization is not working when shooting RAW. Also not when using flash:
I understand that the image processing part of the stabilization cannot be used with raw (obviously), but if the hardware is there I should be able to use it. Also the flash is LED, not a xenon that freezes action. Stabilization can help with that also. I just don't understand why these cancel out optical stabilization (I can understand the processing part for raw, though for flash not entirely).
Is this just a currently missing feature that's going to be added? It was advertised that it has an LED flash, has OIS, and iOS was advertised with being able to shoot raw with 3rd party apps. I had to dig through developer documentation to find out this limitation.. I can honestly say I'm not happy that I cannot use the full potential of my iphone, since it's always advertised as one of the best photographer tools.
best regards, István
