I encounter this problem when I try to mount my external disk in Disk Utility. Please Help!
com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930868
Did you solve this error? I'm having the same issue
I'm having massive problems on my Mac Pro with attached USB drives that have encrypted disk images on them ever since the switch to Monterey. After a while of problem free usage all of a sudden ( No calamities or extra ordinary events) the images won't mount and are dismissed by disk utility as "No identifiable file system" or similar. When trying to mount it throws the above "com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930868." , it shows the physical hard drive no problem, but it will not mount the disk image anymore. The password is NOT the problem. It works on a backup I made since the first occurrence. What does strike me as strange though is that the disk image seems to be holding only the amount of space actually TAKEN on the IMAGE, whilst the whole image file is 4 TB, it shows 1.75 free on the physical drive. How can this be? . Is there some automatic resizing going on that wrecks the encryption rendering the disk image unusable? If so : Can I switch that off somewhere? Does Monterey destroy APFS disk images that are encrypted?. These were already REDONE after the first occurrence. All under Monterey using the latest disk utility from Monterey. No external software involved. Please : Does ANY one have an idea what's up? I tried the usual suspects of mounting from Terminal and doing -list etc. Nothing seems to help but REDO the whole image again...
Any input very appreciated.
Hello,
Same error here, it would be great to have support on this, issue was first posted one year ago, 3 hard drives that I need to access have this same problem. They worked perfectly before so I can reasonably suspect that it is an OS issue.
Thanks for helping
