Query on Account deletion guideline

Dear Team

As per Apple's guidelines, apps allowing onboarding and submitted after June 30th should offer an option to delete the user account.

We would like to know if there is any exception in account deletion requirement. Do financial entities like banks and investment companies still have to comply with the iOS app account deletion requirement?

Yes, all apps do need to offer account deletion but if your app is in a highly regulated field you may use additional customer service flows to confirm and facilitate the account deletion process. You should also make sure to follow all applicable legal requirements for storing and retaining user account information and for handling account deletion.
