Focused window flickering out of focus at random intervals (macOS Ventura Beta 3)

(Submitted to Apple's Developer Feedback)

Randomly while I type (or don't), it will unfocus the main window and then refocus it.

I've tried closing nearly every app but one, and it still seems to happen, so doesn't seem to be an app I'm using that causes this.

It’s usually WHILE I’m typing, so it causes issues. Video explains.

Has anyone else experienced this and or have a temp fix? It makes testing on this platform nearly impossible, I can't code on it, or use it for anything productive.

Seems to only happen in latest beta 3 for Ventura.

I have been running into the same bug, first I thought it was a faulty mouse/keyboard. Glad to see it is not!

After updating to Ventura (22A380) Stable, I have started suffering from the same issue. I believe it is somehow related to the mouse hiding feature while typing, however it cannot be disabled, steals the focus and the cursor just randomly disappears and reappears. I've also noticed that spotlight tends to disappear when the focus is lost, which happens every few secs.

experience the same. glitches on the window make while typing are irritating. make the cursor go to back or when renaming files on vs code, it is like pressing enter.

my version is not the beta. 13.0 (22A380)

I'm running into the same issue. Windows will lose focus periodically. It happens when I'm typing without the mouse or when I'm using the mouse. I haven't figured out a pattern. When focus is lost, the app I was last using still displays on the menu bar. I'm running the latest version of Ventura - 13.0.1, non Beta. Surprised this hasn't been fixed yet..

I got the same issue, also running the released version 13.0.1 (22A400). A bit annoying when using this machine to do software development on daily basis. Logitech's mouse/keyboard application "Logitech G Hub" was randomly crashing (before it was updated) when Ventura was released, so I thought that was the issue – but now I am unsure. Are any of you running any Logitech hardware+software?

I'm having the same experience only when typing. Running Version 13.0.1. I rebooted about 48 hours ago and it stopped. I rebooted this morning and it's back again. It only happens when I'm typing not with mouse interaction.

Same thing here. Began when I installed Ventura. Did not go away with 13.0.1 update. It's quite annoying.

Does the same for me. Really super annoying. Please let me know if there's any update or workaround for this buggy behaviour.

Have very similar set of issues with my macOS Ventura 13.1 - most probably happens due to mouse hiding when typing. On top of the windows flickering (as was mentioned here before) my mouse or trackpad looses the ability to left-click. Other features (gestures, multiple-click, swiping etc.) works fine. Funny enough, I can left-click just fine when using Mouse Keys from the accessibility settings. Also, rebooting temporarily fixes this issue. Still, this lowkey makes my Mac a very frustrating thing to use.

I wonder, does anybody have this issue, where the mouse and/or trackpad won't left click at all.
