Ios16 shortcut append to note cannot use variable

The “append to note” in shortcuts cannot use a variable (created from find notes).
Using a valid variable will always prompt the user for input, as if ask every time was selected. If you specify the note name (not via a variable) it works as expect. Any advice would be appreciated.

Same problem here

I had the same issue with all the iOS 16 versions (Beta 2 to RC).

After installing iOS 16.1 Beta 2, I tried again and it's working fine now.

No more prompt to select a note when the action uses a variable created from a "Find note" action 🙂

I’m having the same problem. The shortcut is working on my iPad but not in my iPhone since the last iOS 16 update

I am able to assign a variable for what note to append to, but it still asks me for the note to append to.

I had this same issue starting with iOS 16, but it appears to be fixed with the public release of 16.1.1.

Still seems to be happening to me on iOS 16.3 - anybody figure out a work around or am I just doing something wrong?

Same here, 16.3.1

Same here even after upgrading to 16.4. Why did apple disable this feature?
