Unable to add device [device] because the team has already reached the maximum number of iPhone devices

Hello, I'm currently encountering an error when trying to build to my iPhone. The error is:

"Unable to add device [device] because the team has already reached the maximum number of iPhone devices"

I understand what the error is saying, but I cannot find a way around the error. I need to remove other devices from the development team, but I do not know how. XCode is currently managing my certificates automatically, and none of the certificates show up on the Apple Developer certificates panel, so I have no way to access them.

How can I remove the old devices or create a new certificate or anything to resolve this error? It's worth noting that I do have a paid developer account.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I don't know the answer, but I'll ask a couple questions that may help others answer your question.

- Do you have an organization account with multiple team members? Or are you the only developer using the account?

- If you look under Devices->All in 'Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles' in Member Center, are all the devices you have registered listed there?

- How many devices total are registered?

I've also had problems with Xcode-managed resources not showing up in Member Center. It's provisioning profiles in my case (my certificates do show up). I've seen other reports of this, but haven't found any answers or explanations. So, I don't have an answer to that, but it does seem to be a recurring issue.

I am the only developer using the account, and I am the only team member.

When I look under the devices page of the website, no devices show up. (It has a whole section titled "Getting Started With Devices")

>I need to remove other devices from the development team, but I do not know how.

Doesn't matter (and I assume when you say you don't know how, you mean you know the usual process, but it's not working and you don't know how to proceed - see below)....once max'd out, you can't add more until the next year on your account rolls over, so in your example of hitting the limit, the only solutions are to wait, or move to another account. In other words - right now, you can't get there from here

From the docs:

-=-

Development Test Devices

If you are a Team Agent or Admin, you will be presented with the option to remove listed test devices and restore the available device count to 100 at the start of your new membership year when you first sign in to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles. Be sure to remove all devices you no longer use for development before adding any new devices, as you will not be able to remove devices once you add a new one.

That said, if you are sure you are well below the device limit, then consider that stop message as an error that you should query support on via iTunes Connect/Contact Us.

Good luck.

So you're saying neither certificates nor devices show up for you in Member Center. Does anything else show up for you there? What about app IDs and provisioning profiles?

Also, you might mention about how many devices you think you've registered so far (specifically whether it's anywhere close to the annual limit).

[Edit: Looks like you got another reply, but I'll leave this here anyway.]
