I am trying to connect to device but it keep popping up with this message:
The operation couldn't be completed. (RPErrorDomain error -6700.)

Two devices: Mac Mini and iPad.
And in what context are you seeing this error? What steps did you take?

Please note; I am now able to connect to my iPad via the Mac mini after shut down both devices (overnight) then reconnecting the iPad as the external monitor.
The initial steps taken are identical to connecting a display monitor via System Settings/Displays/Add Display.
