Availability of App Name After Removal

I have an app removed from sale: "The app status changes to Developer Removed from Sale, and within 24 hours your app won’t be available on the App Store".

Since the app has been removed, it should mean that the app's name should be available for use.

However, I have been trying for the last two days to have that name but I get this message:

"English (U.S.) Name couldn’t be saved because the app name you entered is already being used. If you have trademark rights to this name and would like it released for your use, submit a claim."

Does that mean that the app has not been removed, or is there something else I need to do in order to make the name available for use?

Hello @ jimmykh. I presume what you've done is Remove an app from the App Store, which removes it from sale, but keeps it in your account.

I suspect what you want to do is Remove an app, which will remove it from your account and release ownership of the app name.

The former must be done before doing the latter.
