Hi,
we have a Cisco WLAN Infrastructure with 802.11r enabled SSID (5GHz, WPA2/AES(EAP-TLS)
We use the iPhones 8/XR with a VoIP Softclient for calling. It's a new deployment so no previous experience. We noticed audio gaps during roaming between APs, so we enabled "debug client" on the WLAN controller to check in deep if we see something going wrong.
Here the output where you can see the 802.11r issues during roaming:
- Dropping (Re) Association Request frame as FTIE MIC validation failed for the client.
- MIC mismatch
- 11r FT MDIE verification failed on WLAN
This errors are related to client issues.
Then we tested it with an iPhone 12 (15.6.1) and also updating it to the latest 16.1 - it worked without issues. So we can confirm that the issue is on the iPhone 8/XR.
Is there any way to get this wrong behaviour solved for the iPhone 8/XR?
thanks!
