Make m1 mac use Ethernet when wifi has no internet connection (like iOS)?

Hi!

trying to get my Mac to connect with Ethernet to the internet while wifi is used to connect to a non-internet local device. I have Ethernet set first in services order but anytime wifi is turned on it seems to bypass Ethernet.

m1 MacBook Pro with ts3 dock for Ethernet. latest public beta mac os connecting wifi to Accsoon Cineview se

ethernet works as configured when wifi is off or not connected, if connected to a traditional wifi network, internet works fine over wifi. When connecting wifi to Accsoon I can not use internet via Ethernet even though it shows as green/active in system settings.

Is this expected behavior or is there anyway to connect to an offline wifi device well getting on line through Ethernet?
