Hey, Apple community out there, I noticed a kinda odd behavior on macOS Ventura 13.2 (a) Beta. (A newer Update is in line to install but can't do that right now for some reason ...)
If I set an alarm to go off after one minute like it's 4.00 PM and the alarm should go off at 4.01 PM and I lock the Macbook Pro 16" from 2021 via my keyboard touch id the screen goes completely black and it appears as it would sleep. No screen saver or anything is enabled.
Then the alarm sound is notable and everything works as expected.
But if I try the same thing to set an alarm after one minute but this time I don't lock my Macbook with the touch id instead, I used Apple -> Sleep Mode/Hibernation and the one minute passes no sound is played.
When I unlock then the Macbook with the touch id and the desktop is shown, on the top of the right corner it shows me the alarm banner but still with no sound.
The difference between these two ways is once it's in deep sleep and once it's not.
If you don't understand how I explained this issue, here are some other people already noticed the exact same behavior/problem: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/alarm-clock-app-does-not-work.2367551/
Does anybody know a solution to this problem? Should I create an issue on the feedback app?
The thing is I need my Macbook as a backup alarm clock in case I would oversleep. Can't always use my phone because sometimes I just hit stop and sleep further. :D
I'm grateful for any advice which resolves in tackling this annoying issue.
Kind regards, Daniel Oberlechner
